PCS was the General Contractor responsible for a $22,980,000 general construction contract on this Wicks Law project. PCS was also responsible for the design and construction of a 15,000 sf Canopy enclosed Salt Shed as well as other selected components of this project
With a strong Construction Management team PCS successfully completed the construction of this new 80,000 sf garage building, comprised of two (2) floor levels of administrative space and personnel support facilities, ground level vehicle storage and repair facilities and a salt shed, serving Queens District 14 in Edgemere, Queens, NY. The site wok included the development of all services and utilities, parking for personnel vehicles and the sanitation collection fleet, as well as general site improvements.
The scope also included maintenance and protection of traffic on public streets while work was in progress. Excavating, demolishing, and removing existing structures, ground floor slabs and materials in the way of the salt shed.
Other building components consisted of fixed louvers, roll-up insulated metal vehicle entrance doors with grilles, metal and glass entrances, painted metal doors and frames, interior finishes, suspended ceilings, metal stairs, cabinetry, residential kitchen appliances, lockers, benches, toilet partitions, and accessories.
