Padilla Construction Services Inc. is currently involved in the construction of a new North Screening Building and Plaza Entrance Area to the United Nations located at 45th St. and First Avenue Manhattan NY. This project is through Skanska Buildings USA, the Construction Manager, hired by the United Nations. It is a fast track project that is required to be completed within a three month time period.
Padilla’s contract is for the demolition of the existing small structure and existing plaza entrance. We are involved in the new concrete foundation and concrete slab interior work of this 4,000 square foot building; And the construction of the new 6,000 square feet plaza including concrete site walls, ramps, stairs, and pavements. Along with this we are installing the granite facing of the concrete walls and the granite stair treads at the entrance staircase. Padilla Construction Services Inc. is fabricating and installing the new metal perimeter fence and required entrance gates. Other work involves drilled caissons, and site amenities including flagpole installation, regarding of the site, and miscellaneous pavers.
